Nick Ronan received his black belt from Matt Serra in 2020. Nick is a founder of Vanguard Academy Jiu Jitsu in Lake Grove, New York. He’s also a 4x NY state place winner in wrestling, so he brings a multi-faceted perspective to his Jiu Jitsu game and instruction.
In Nick’s young competitive career, he has faced some of the world’s best grapplers and holds recent submission wins over both IBJJF and ADCC World Champions. Nick has competed in the Polaris Grand Prix, Eddie Bravo Invitational, Emerald City Invitational, IBJJF No-Gi World Championships, among many others.
