Instructor Bio:

Rene Sousa is a Brazilian 10th Planet jiu jitsu black belt under Big Uncle Zach Maslany. Originally from Phillipsburg, New Jersey spends much of his time training in Bethlehem and Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Rene frequently travels across the country and world to train with some of the world’s best BJJ players. Rene also has a background in collegiate wrestling, having competed for King’s College after high school.

In Rene’s first Instructional on Athletes Ocean, he will go into detail on his unique Buggy Choke system and how he frequently finds opportunities to weave the techniques in competition settings.
