Frequently Asked Questions

You must be at least 18 years old to be an Ocean Instructor.

Payout percentages depend on what type of content is being purchased by a Member. Ocean’s costs to host content varies. We do our best to give Instructors the best percentage shares possible.

Instructional Courses are 65/35

Subscription Groups are 75/25.

‘General Groups’ are public and free to join.

‘Subscription Groups’ are groups that only Ocean Instructors can create and Members can subscribe to for exclusive content. Subscription Groups can charge a fee to join or be free to join.

You can search for different types of groups using the filters in the Subscription Group catalog.

Find the Subscription Group that you want to unsubscribe from. Click the button that says ‘Subscriber’. Follow the prompts from there to leave the group.

Once you leave the Subscription Group, your recurring subscription payment will cease for the next scheduled payment. You will lose access to the Subscription Group once you cancel your subscription or leave the group.

Go to ‘Account Settings’. You can find it Account Settings by hovering over your profile name in the top right corner of any page or on the left-side menu. From Account Settings, choose ‘Delete Account’. Follow the prompts from there.

  • Submit the Instructor Application Form
  • Your application will be reviewed by the team at Athletes Ocean
  • We will reach out to you as soon as your application is accepted
  • If you are not accepted immediately, don’t worry! We have you information and will reach out in the future

Generally, Athletes Ocean cannot provide refunds for purchases because Ocean is not the owner of the Content. Instructors own the Content and when you make a purchase, you are purchasing from the Instructor. There may be certain circumstances in which you may be entitled to a refund. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please email us at [email protected] and reference your order number in the subject line. We will review your purchase and confirm whether you are entitled to a refund, as determined by the Terms of Use and the Standard Contract Between Members and Instructors.

From your profile page, under account settings, you can change your password. You’ll receive an email to verify your new password and may have to login again.

Your content may be viewable by Members and Instructors on the Ocean platform, as well as people that have not joined the platform. Review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for more details.

Some of your content will be visible by Members, other Instructors, and individuals that are not Users of the platform.

The content that you’ve designated to be monetized (Instructional Courses, Subscription Groups, etc.) is only viewable when Members purchase the content.

Click on the ‘sign up/sign in’ button on the top menu.

Enter the required information and submit to create your free profile!
